Moke Hill Sanitary District Project

The Mokelumne Hill Sanitary District (MHSD) Wastewater Improvement Project Received Final Budget Approval (FBA) from the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) on June 8, 2026.  Worked commenced on the $9,565,712 project on September 8, 2026, and contains the following elements.

  1. Lagoon Upgrade at the Treatment Plant: Consists of lining the lagoons (2) and installing a concrete cap. Work is scheduled to be completed by December 4, 2026.
  2. Easy Bird Lane: Consists of replacing the existing sewer main. Work is scheduled to commence on September 25, 2026, and be completed by October 9, 2026.
  3. Highway 26 Crossing to Maretta Lane Manhole: Consists of replacing the existing sewer main. Work is scheduled to commence on October 26, 2026, and be completed by November 9, 2026.

Work on the following elements of the projects do not have a scheduled start date currently.  Construction scheduling will depend on the weather.

  1. Garden Lane: Consists of replacing the existing sewer main.
  2. Green Gravity Mainline: Consists of installing new sewer main that bypasses the two existing sewer lift stations.
  3. Office & Lab Facility Upgrade: Consists of expanding the existing facilities.
  4. Spray Field Upgrade: Consists of automating the existing 4 spray fields.

This project began in 2019 with a MHSD Plan of Study and formal application to CWSRF.
