Potential Elementary School Closures

At the December 14, 2023 CUSD School Board meeting Superintendent Mark Campbell announced that due to the Calaveras Unified School District budget shortfall Moke Hill Elementary or West Point Elementary could be closed by the end of this school year June 2024. Our schools play a vital role in our community, and we must advocate to keep both schools open.  What you can do to help save our schools

CUSD Study Session: Monday January 8th at 10:30am:
District Office: 3304 Highway 12, Valley Springs, CA 95252 

Discussion with Matt Brock, CUSD School Board Member:

• Monday, January 8th: 1:30pm-3:15pm at the Moke Hill Library

• Tuesday, January 9th: 5pm – 630pm at the Moke Hill Library

CUSD Board Meeting: Thursday, January 18 at 6pm:

District Office: 3304 Highway 12, Valley Springs, CA 95252

✍️Write a Letter to the CUSD Board Opposing School Closures ✍️

Letters will be submitted to the CUSD Board at the January 18th meeting
