Cancelled: Smokey the Bear at the Library

Smokey the Bear will be at the Moke Hill Library on Tuesday, July 10th at 12:30 p.m.  Smokey will share fire safe prevention and other tips about how “only you can prevent forest fires.”Created in 1944, the Smokey Bear Wildfire Prevention campaign is the longest-running public service advertising campaign in U.S. history, educating generations of Americans about their role in preventing wildfires.  Wildfire prevention remains one of the most critical issues affecting our country. Smokey’s message is as relevant and urgent today as it was in 1944.

Living as we do in wildfire country, Smokey’s message is very important to all of us, our friends, family and visitors to our beautiful community.  Smokey hopes you can join him at the library on Tuesday July 10th at 12:30.
