A Celebration of Edith Irvine

The extraordinary photography documenting the 1906 San Francisco Earthquake (taken by 22 year old Mokelumne Hill resident, Edith Irvine) will be celebrated on the 110th anniversary of this historic event.  Please join us as we share her remarkable story with historical displays, demonstrations and exclusive presentations at the Mokelumne Hill Library.  We culminate the celebration with a special showing (in the Town Hall) of the 1936 Academy Award winning musical “San Francisco” starring Clark Gable, Jeanette MacDonald and Spencer Tracy.

Saturday, April 16th

  • 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Library (free)
  • 4:00 to 6:00 at the Town Hall ($2.00)  Popcorn, candy, wine and beer will be for sale from local merchants
