Benefit Concert December 12th

The fourth annual holiday concert to benefit the music programs of Rail Road Flat, West Point and Mokleumne Hill elementary schools will take place from 4-7 p.m. Saturday, December 12 at Mokelumne Hill Hall Town Hall. Once again, Los Angeles-based musician Drew Phillips and his band are playing and helping to organize the entertainment which will include a variety of local, as well as upcoming young musicians and dancers. Tickets will be sold at the door: $10 for adults; $5 for those younger than 12. Admission includes dinner during intermission of a variety of soups, chowders and stews, salad and bread.
In past years, proceeds of the event have enabled the schools to purchase and maintain instruments, and to pay for music assemblies and music lessons. The organizing group, Friends of Rail Road Flat School, is also seeking donations of old or unused instruments, which are tax-deductible, and toys for the Butte Fire victims. Everyone welcome. Give the gift of music to your community schools.
