Thank You Moke Hill Lion’s Club!

The Mokelumne Hill Lion’s Club generously donated school readiness skill building sets to all 14 incoming kindergarten students at Mokelumne Hill Elementary School. Each set contains fun activities to complete at home and gives children the ability to practice writing letters and numbers, using scissors, tying shoes, and more!
The note to parents and guardians read:
“Your child is getting ready to enter Kindergarten, embarking on the wonderful journey of education and we’d like to help them prepare. Please accept this donation of a “Ready, Set, School” activity pack as our gift.
Mokelumne Hill Lion’s Club
‘For Kids’ Programs”
This is the second year in a row that the local Lion’s Club has donated these packs to incoming Kindergarten students. The past few years the Lion’s Club has also supported another school readiness project, the Mokelumne Hill Imagination Library. The Imagination Library** provides one free book in the mail each month to all registered children who have a 95245 mailing address. Children can register at birth and receive books until their fifth birthday…providing a total of 60 books to build early literacy skills and home libraries! Registration forms are available at the Mokelumne Hill Library, Mokelumne Hill Elementary Office or online at www.imaginationlibrary.com
Again, thank you Mokelumne Hill Lion’s Club for supporting early learning and Mokelumne Hill’s youngest children!!
**The Imagination Library has also received support from the Mokelumne Hill Community Historical Trust, the Mokelumne Hill Friends of the Library, local businesses and community members.
