Important Meeting on the Draft General Plan

The Calaveras County Planning Department has announced a joint study session of the Board of Supervisors and Planning Commission for 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 30th at the San Andreas Town Hall to discuss “global issues” related to the draft Calaveras County General Plan. Attached is the Planning Department’s staff report which provides background, discussion and recommendations on the topics to be discussed. In short, the Planning Department is seeking direction on four major issues raised by the public during the public comment period. These issue areas are:

Inclusion of community plans
The level of growth that the plan should try to accommodate
Inclusion of a water element
Format of the document
