Mokelumne Hill Branch Library Closing?

Calaveras County is facing an $8 million shortfall in the next fiscal year.   Drastically reduced branch hours are being seriously considered as well as the possibility of branch closures.

What can you do?

• Let the Board of Supervisors know we need to work together to come up with a more acceptable solution.
• Attend  Board of Supervisors meetings.  A group of us have been attending and speaking  during the Public Comment portion of the meeting which takes place shortly after the meeting starts at 9.  It’s not necessary that we all get up to speak although you certainly may.  Just being there will say a lot.  Please come and bring your friends and neighbors.
• Contact our Supervisor, Chris Wright and let him know of your support for our library system.  Chris is a strong advocate for our libraries.
