Holiday Open House Dec 8th

Discover small town holiday cheer at Mokelumne Hill’s Annual Holiday Open House on  Sunday, December 8th from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. This quaint, historic, gold rush town comes to life with special activities for the entire family! 

Free Parking and shuttle to Main Street from Wendall’s parking lot at the intersection oh Hwy 49 and West Center Street. Note: Main Street will be closed between Lafayette and Center Street from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. and parking restrictions on China Gulch. Take the hassle out of enjoying the fun by parking at Wendall’s and taking the shuttle.

Enjoy a Horse Drawn Wagon Ride down Main Street and have a photo taken with Santa at the Historic Hotel Leger. Merchants will be offering special activities such as Face Painting by Leslie Vasquez at Petroglyphe Gallery and Reindeer Games at McHale’s Revival. Calaveras Cody will be performing something magical at Moke Hill Nuts & Candies on Main Street. Complimentary Holiday Food or Drinks at The Hippie Closet, JPM Realty, Whoopsie Daisy and more. Mountain Melody performs at Renegade Winery. Get creative at Ed & Brenda’s with Ginger-Bread House Decorating or an Ornament Making Craft at the Mokelumne Hill Library. Children can mail their “wish list” to the North Pole at the Mokelumne Hill Post Office.

Rounding out the day’s events from 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm at Petroglyphe Gallery, listen to Gordon Roland on guitar while sampling wine, cheese and holiday desserts. Closing out the event will be a fire breathing performance on Main Street which is sure to delight and amaze!

The Tree Lighting will happen at Renegade Winery, 5:00 pm!

Mokelumne Hill’s Holiday Open House is a chance for everyone to join in and celebrate the spirit of the season! Feel the warmth of small-town pride and the rich heritage of this historic gold rush community. Make it a holiday tradition to be part of the celebration.
